Super Bowl ticket

1-SUPER BOWL SUPERBOWL XLII TICKET- IN HAND - SIDELINE

ended - Friday, February 1, 2008

Auction grade: A-

Starting bid: $1,000.00

Final sale price: $6,100.00

This seller is trying to sell a single football ticket for the Super Bowl XLII (New England Patriots versus New York Giants) in Glendale, Arizona.

Apart from some minor spelling and grammar errors, this is a pretty good advertisement. Personally, I wouldn't use all caps in the title, especially in a highly competitive area for the next few days. For effect, I would use all caps for a word or phrase, but definitely not for the entire title.

An interesting thing is the way the seller makes it a point to know that you'll be sitting right next to him for the game. If you feel you got scammed or if the guy's a jerk, you can let him know and annoy him during the entire game.

This seller has a good idea of already reserving a room for a couple of nights for the buyer. He mentions that you don't have to use the reservation, but it is there an an option.

If the seller originally bought the ticket for $2950, I wonder if he's still going to make a profit by the end of the auction. The current bid is only $1755 with just over a day left for the auction.

Overall, I don't know why but I'm very amused by this auction. I like the main body of the text where the seller explains about the ticket and gives the buyer an option for the hotel reservation. The title written in all caps was a bad idea, and the seller needs to know the difference in words between "chose" and "choose".
